    Great Winnie Mae Airplane photo in a field.
    Lockheed Model 5C Vega NR105W ‘The Winnie Mae of Oklahoma’, in which he flew solo around the world, taking off from Floyd Bennett Field, Long Island on July 15 1933, and landing back there after 15,596 miles (25,100 km), in just under 7 days 19 hours, with 11 stops for fuel and rest, and one minor accident which required repairs to the aircraft.
