    Description

A superb and rare photo of the
Harley-Davidson KR / KRTT sidevalve racer of 1953, with 1953 Daytona 200 winner Paul Goldsmith.
This photograph was taken just after his winning 1953 Daytona 200 race! Paul Goldsmith was an excellent rider on both 2 and 4 wheels, as he did not only win in Daytona, but when he made the switch to car racing he won the Daytona 500 and finished third at the
    Indianapolis
    500. An excellent rider. He was born in
    Parkersburg
    ,
    West Virginia
, in 1925. His motorcycle racing career began when he moved in
    Detroit
. Local Harley dealer Earl Robinson spotted his natural racing talent. In 1947 he began racing professionally. He won his first big National in 1952 at the Milwaukee Mile, followed by the Daytona 200 victory in 1953, when the photograph was taken.
H-D introduced the new KR production racer (class C) during 1952. It was derived from the new Harley-Davidson K model, and had many engine features of the WR. Hence the name KR. The early versions had a rigid rear chassis, also the one on the photo. It is a very rare and historic image. A great present, great for framing!
This is a very nice and very rare
    non period
photo that reflects a wonderful era of Harley ‘s motorcycle history in a wonderful way. This is your rare chance to own this photo, therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 8" x 9" (ca.
    20 x 23
cm). It makes it perfectly suitable for framing!
