The bottom of the buckle features the John Deere 1937 FOUR LEGS Leaping Deer over Log Trademark/Logo. It also has a boy & the Hinton dog on a John Deere tractor with cultivator in a corn field. A farmer is leaning against the rear tire.
Walter Haskell Hinton was a painter and illustrator who first worked for John Deere in 1926 and started freelancing for Deere creating many farm & family scenes. His works included updates to John Deere's Trademark/Logo and his illustrations appeared on puzzles, belt buckles, trays, calendars, paintings, Christmas ornaments & more.
The three dimensional detail & workmanship in these buckles make them a very desirable for collectors.
It measures 3 5/8" x 2 5/8" Made of Brass & Pewter
Buckle is silver & gold in color.
