Anderson
is seen riding the experimental Guzzi 317cc S.O.H.C. single. It was a bored out 250, but it FLEW! Fergus finished 3rd during the race and that was such a promising result that the Guzzi factory decided to compete the rest of the season as well in the 350 World Championship. Not a bad choice, as
Anderson and Guzzi indeed won the 350cc World Championship that year
! This wonderful machine was designed by Guzzi's genious top designer Giulio Carcano. It weighed
269 lb
and could reach a topspeed of
130 mph
. The engine's power output was 33 hp at 7,500 rpm.
