    Description

A beautiful photo of the 1951 version of the famous
    500cc v-twin Moto Guzzi!
This remarkable motorcycle racer was designed by Gianini for Moto Guzzi. Gianini was a renowned car engine designer. He did some work for Alfa Romeo for instance. Guzzi approached him after World War II to design a new multi cylinder Grand Prix racer for them. Development took place in
    Rome
where Gianini had his office, and at the Guzzi factory. In 1952 the machine was done. It was a remarkable motorcycle, with its mechanical operated fuel injection system, shaft drive and…. linked brake system! The foot brake operated the rear drum and one side of the front drum brake. Together with a drive shaft that ran through the swingarm these features are found on the Tonti framed Guzzi’s up to today! This machine was used for the development of the V7 in that aspect.
This striking photo will make a terrific showpiece when framed, hence why the
    non period
    photo is printed in a nice large format of 7.8" x 11.8" (20 x 30cm).
Shipping costs will only be $ 7.00 regardless of how many photos you buy.   For 5 or more photos, shipping is free!
