Description
A superb and rare photo of theMoto Guzzi V7 700
of the very first production series.
The V7 would change the face of motorcycling and would stand at the base of an over 40 long model line of more then excellent Guzzi V-twins! Production started in
1967 and ended in 1969. It was the first in a long line of Guzzi V-twin models that still are in production today! The V7 had a transverse 703cc engine, each cylinder having a bore and stroke of 80 x
70 mm
. Its successors, te 750 Ambassador ( V7 Special in Europe) and the Eldorado ( 850 GT in
Europe
) were incredibly popular as police bikes.
The photo was taken on the 4TH of September
1969 in
the Northern Italian city of
Verona
. The bike has a “
Verona
” license plate and is equipped with various factory optionals, like the hard luggage rear cases, the windscreen, legshields and a variety of chrome and polished parts.
The Fiat and Alfa Romeo cars in the background confirm the classic era in which this great
non period
photo was taken, which is great at the size is great for framing: ca. 8" x 9.5" (20 x 24 cm).
