Shown is the main testrider of the Moto Guzzi Le Mans and V7 Sport models, Luciano Gazzola. He finished the race in 6
th
position, behind future world champion GP riders like Virginio Ferrari and Marco Lucchinelli. Interestingly, Gazzola’s racing V7 Sport had a capacity of 850cc for this race. Guzzi was at that time also busy in the final stages of the development of the 850cc
Le Mans
production model, which was introduced at the end of 1975.
Also shown is Mimmo Cazzaniga, finishing an excellent 4
th
on his BMW R90S, which was tuned by the talented Silvano Bertarelli. A terrific result for the rider which came from the Italian city of
Genova
.
