    Description

WW 2 Era Engineer's Dietzgen Maniphase Multiplex Slide Rule 1732 (Rare) w/Case
Slide rules were used in Artillery and Ranging as well as Photography in scaling targets.  These were the "computers" of the armed forces and industry before there were computers.
Providence: This slide rule came with a group of military items I purchased in auction 2 years ago.
It is great shape for its age and still works.
    The model 1732  slide
    rule
apparently dates from 1944 to 1952. Three U.S. Naval Academy professors applied for the patents.
The annual production of the original first generation
    model 1732
    (1945 to 1953)
